Bookings & payments

If there is a charge for the event, you will be asked to pay at the time of booking.

You will receive a booking confirmation email when you make your booking through the booking portal.

If you need an invoice for immediate payment, please contact WorkAccord through our contact page.

If we do not receive your payment within two business days, your booking will be cancelled.

We are happy to help with group bookings. If you wish to make a group booking, please contact us via our contact page.

Group discounts for events requiring actual physical attendance are only available for participants who attend an event at the same location.

When we cancel an event

We may cancel or postpone a WorkAccord event for any proper reason, including insufficient registrations and presenter illness.

You should confirm with WorkAccord that an event is taking place, by phone/email, before you book any travel or accommodation for that event.

If we cancel an event, we will not be liable for any loss you may suffer; but you can choose to have your booking fee refunded, or to have a credit for the amount of your booking fee applied towards another WorkAccord event.

If you change or cancel a booking

You can make changes and cancellations by email or phone.

We are happy to allow a name change on a booking free of charge.

If you want to cancel an attendance at a WorkAccord event, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will refund the booking fee for your cancelled attendance or provide a credit for the amount of your booking fee towards another WorkAccord event, PROVIDED that you give us at least five business days’ notice prior to the event date.

If you do not give us at least five business days’ notice of a cancellation, we may choose not to allow a refund or credit.

Webinar cancellation

Payment for recorded webinars is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a recorded webinar after you have completed your booking, we will send you a link to the webinar recording.


As an Australian small business, WorkAccord exempt from the Australian Privacy Principles.

However, when you register or participate in a WorkAccord event, you may be dealing with third party event management platform providers (e.g. Eventbrite®), webinar platforms (e.g.  Livestorm®), host venues and accommodation providers. These parties are aware that they are only authorised to use the information for the purpose provided. You can find out more information through the event registration portal.

We will collect personal information if it is necessary for the proper conduct of the WorkAccord event you book for.

We use the personal information that we collect to facilitate event activities, collect feedback, and to notify you of our other events and activities. If we publish feedback comments that you provide, we will do so anonymously unless you authorise us to quote you as the source.

When you book for a WorkAccord event, we may include personal details (your name, organisation and state/territory) in a delegate list and share it with other delegates.

Unless you need a certificate of participation – e.g. for CPD points – you should feel free to use a pseudonym (a made-up user name).

We do not store credit card information as part of event attendees’ personal details.

If you do not want your details to be passed on for any of the above purposes, please let us know by phone or email. You may opt out of our communications at any time, either completely or partially.


WorkAccord reserves the right to block the participation any person in a WorkAccord event, and to eject any person from a WorkAccord event because of inappropriate behaviour.

You may not distribute promotional materials (other than a business card) at a WorkAccord event without our permission. Participants who do so may be asked to leave the event.

Moderation & editing

WorkAccord event hosts, presenters, and moderators reserve the right to moderate and edit questions and comments.

Live events

Not all questions asked by participants in live events will necessarily be answered. The choice to answer questions rests with the presenter, who may be assisted by a moderator.

Questions may be “voted up” by participants to prioritize questions that might be answered.

WorkAccord event hosts, presenters and moderators may decline to accept into the event record any questions, comments or written materials that are made or produced by participants.

Recorded events and materials

Comments and written materials that are produced and presented for WorkAccord events by hosts, presenters, moderators or participants, and which are part of the event record, may be deleted, edited or annotated by WorkAccord.
